On 19 August, HALO Foundation launched its new competition, “Faces of Haskovo”, inviting residents of Haskovo Municipality to share the stories of people who inspire them and make a positive contribution to their community.
The competition aims to highlight the people behind the positive change in Haskovo – those who support others, contribute to their communities, inspire through their actions, or simply make the lives of the people around them better.
Who can participate?
The competition is open to all residents of Haskovo Municipality, regardless of age. Participation is free of charge.
Each participant can submit an original photograph of a person who inspires them, accompanied by a short personal story explaining who the person is, what they do, and why they deserve to be recognised.
Through photography and personal storytelling, “Faces of Haskovo” seeks to create a space for sharing real human stories and celebrating the people who contribute to a stronger, more caring and connected local community.
The competition is an opportunity to look beyond familiar faces and everyday routines and discover the stories of the people who make Haskovo a better place.
How to participate
Participants are invited to submit:
- one original photograph;
- a short story about the person featured in the photograph;
- the required information specified in the competition rules.
There are no age restrictions, and participation is free.
