From August 4th to 8th, 2025, the city of Ruse became a stage for international youth dialogue focusing on interreligious and intercultural communication, social justice, and peace. The city hosted the five-day camp “Rivers of Peace 2025”, organized by URI Europe and the Bridges Association, in partnership with the global network United Religions Initiative (URI Global) and Cooperation Circles (CCs) from various parts of Europe.

The camp brought together nearly 30 young people aged 15 to 17 from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Spain, and the “Ivan Stanchov” Bulgarian School in London. They were actively supported during the camp by nine young facilitators from four different countries (aged between 18 and 27), who played a key role in designing and leading the program.

The camp is a continuation of the successful project “Seeding the Peace”, implemented in 2024, which is already bearing fruit through new youth initiatives and growing communities in several European countries. URI Europe succeeded in bringing together a diverse group of participants, with each partner striving for a balance in gender, religion, and cultural background when forming their youth delegations.
