Our colleagues from Parallel-Silistra Association have successfully completed the Youth4Democracy: #Act4Climate project, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme.
Throughout the project, young people and partner organisations from Bulgaria, Finland, Italy and Portugal came together around one common idea: democracy and active citizenship go hand in hand with caring for our planet.
The project was coordinated by Dr. Diana Bebenova-Nikolova from Parallel-Silistra Association (Bulgaria), in partnership with Associazione Scienze Naturali Unite APS (Italy), United Vision ry (Finland), and Intensify World – Associação Tecnológica e Recreativa (Portugal).
What did they achieve together?
8 youth workers and 16 young volunteers developed their knowledge and skills in the areas of democracy, climate action, inclusion and digital storytelling.
60 young people took part in local activities and initiatives.
More than 200 young people, including young people at risk of social exclusion, were reached through the project activities.
The partners developed educational resources, including interactive games and workshops on topics such as democracy, European citizenship, climate and inclusion.
One of the key outcomes of the project is the Youth4Democracy Toolkit – a practical resource featuring games, workshops and educational activities for youth workers, trainers and educators.
The Toolkit helps young people explore democracy, European values and human rights, while connecting these topics with environmental responsibility and climate action.
