We are sharing information about the activities of the project “Life Without Fear”, implemented by our colleagues and friends from MAGNA SILVA Association, which we introduced to you at the end of last year. As part of the project, the audience in Plovdiv had the opportunity to witness a bold and unconventional performance-lecture titled “Dialogues About the Vagina.” Through a passionate dialogue between scholar-characters, the performance portrayed the clash between three different concepts of female nature. The visual experience was enhanced by rich documentary materials presented on a large screen. The mission of the performance was to serve as an artistic response to conservative and degrading attitudes toward female sexuality and to remind us that women should speak about themselves openly, confidently, and without shame. The topic of domestic violence was also discussed in a special broadcast on a local television „Trakia“. Key experts from the project of MAGNA SILVA Association took part in the program to provide clarity on this painful yet extremely important issue. During the broadcast, project expert Nikolay Bliznakov presented alarming results from a face-to-face survey conducted among 300 women from the Plovdiv region, who shared their personal experiences and encounters with violence. The project “Life Without Fear” aims not only to inform, but also to extend a helping hand and provide support.
