{"id":773,"date":"2025-07-29T14:29:00","date_gmt":"2025-07-29T14:29:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alfbg.net\/?p=773"},"modified":"2025-08-04T07:32:58","modified_gmt":"2025-08-04T07:32:58","slug":"eco-camp-in-romania","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alfbg.net\/index.php\/2025\/07\/29\/eco-camp-in-romania\/","title":{"rendered":"Eco-Camp in Romania"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our colleagues from the <strong>Youth Information Center \u2013 Karlovo<\/strong> have once again given young people the opportunity to take part in a project that enhances their skills and knowledge about ecological balance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the period 26-31 July, <strong>eleven young people from Karlovo<\/strong> joined an <strong>eco-camp at Camping Mala in Clisura Dun\u0103rii<\/strong>, located on the banks of the Danube River in Romania. The camp was organized as part of the <strong>&#8220;Cu Apele Curate&#8221;<\/strong> program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After a series of team-building and introductory games, the youth:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Discussed environmental issues in both Bulgaria and Romania with their Romanian peers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shared culture and traditions during a joint intercultural evening, dancing under the stars at the eco-campsite;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tested the waters of the Danube River for various indicators \u2013 pH levels, phosphates, turbidity \u2013 and learned about the landscape and plant species in and around the water;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Took a boat trip along the Danube, where they learned about endemic plant species and the region&#8217;s history;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participated in creative workshops, painting mandalas on pebbles collected from the dried-up riverbed at the campsite, while discussing global issues like drought and water scarcity;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Made their own <strong>natural mosquito repellents and body deodorants<\/strong> using entirely eco-friendly materials such as coconut oil, starch, and essential oils;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Watched <strong>educational films under the stars<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They engaged in real-life conversations and enjoyed the pure nature and refreshing weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more information, visit the Facebook page of our colleagues: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/mgirdrosevalley\">https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/mgirdrosevalley<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/alfbg.net\/index.php\/2025\/05\/12\/basic-support-for-refugees-from-ukraine\/#AnnaLindhFoundation\">#AnnaLindhFoundation<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our colleagues from the Youth Information Center \u2013 Karlovo have once again given young people the opportunity to take part in a project that enhances their skills and knowledge about ecological balance.
